Dalila Simão was born in Maputo, Mozambique.  She received her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester, England and continued on to complete her MBA at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan as a Fulbright Scholar.  Ms. Simão worked as a process specialist in the Mozal Aluminum Smelter, the largest single foreign direct investment project in Mozambique, where she was selected to be trained in the problem solving methodology Six Sigma and received a black belt accreditation.  She also held an internship position with Express Scripts Inc. in Saint Louis, Missouri.  Upon completion of her internship, Ms. Simão returned to Mozambique. She currently works at Vale Moçambique, owned by Brazilian multinational company Vale, as a Supervisor of the Procurement Department.
