Mozambique Humanitarian Mission (Part I) - October, 2010

In 2010, after Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) had made a commitment to donate a significant amount of medical and lab equipment to the health infrastructure of Mozambique, a site visit/needs assessment was conducted by Dr. Jim Fleming of LabCorp and Dr. Woodrow Myers of MHC. Meetings were held in-country with local leaders, the Mozambican National Institute of Health, officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention working in Mozambique and many more. The findings obtained during this trip in 2010 served to further inform decisions made by LabCorp and health authorities in Mozambique regarding the locations and facilities in most need of the donated equipment.
